Nikita Bedrin tops the timesheets in the second collective test session

In the second and final collective test session of the day at Spa-Francorchamps, it was Sainteloc Racing’s Nikita Bedrin who set the fastest lap. The driver clocked a benchmark time of 2:11.125 on the iconic Ardennes rollercoaster circuit.

Italian Matteo De Palo, one of the standout performers of the opening round and a consistent frontrunner in these tests so far, secured second place, finishing 0.234 seconds adrift. Third was Dion Gowda, representing Van Amersfoort Racing, with a gap of 0.298.

Fourth fastest in the evening session was R-ace GP’s Enzo Deligny, who posted a time 0.325 seconds off the pace. Fifth went to Prema Racing’s Rashid Al Dhaheri, the Mercedes junior driver finishing with a gap of 0.421. Next up was CL Motorsport’s Michael Belov, 0.540 seconds behind Bedrin.

Seventh place went to Trident’s Nandhavud Bhirombhakdi, 0.639 off the top, followed by two Prema Racing drivers: Australian Jack Beeton in eighth with a gap of 0.641 and Britain’s Freddie Slater in ninth at 0.668. Despite finishing ninth in the evening, Slater still holds the fastest time of the day thanks to his morning lap of 2:11.031.

Rounding out the top ten was RPM’s Enzo Peugeot, who ended the session 0.727 seconds off the benchmark time.

Weekend Schedule

Tomorrow, Saturday, May 16, the action  starts with the first qualifying session divided into two groups: Group A at 10:20 AM and Group B at 10:40 AM. Race 1 is set to start in the afternoon, with lights out at 2:20 PM for 30 minutes plus one lap of action.

Sunday, May 18, features the second qualifying session beginning with Group B at 9:30 AM, followed by Group A at 9:50 AM. The weekend concludes with Race 2 at 4:15 PM.
