Matteo De Palo (Trident) remained fastest in the afternoon session at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, setting the pace with a 1:36.327 lap in the second collective test of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine.
Enzo Deligny (R-ace GP) emerged as De Palo’s closest challenger, finishing just 0.244s behind. Ruiqi Liu ensured a strong showing for Trident with third place, while Nikita Bedrin (Saintéloc Racing) continued his impressive consistency in fourth after leading the field for much of the session. Pedro Clerot (Van Amersfoort Racing) followed in fifth, ahead of championship rival Freddie Slater (Prema Racing), who secured sixth at 0.491s from the top.
Taito Kato (ART Grand Prix) led the French squad’s efforts in seventh, with Jack Beeton (Prema Racing) slotting into eighth. Jin Nakamura (R-ace GP)was ninth, with Macéo Capietto (RPM) completing the top ten on his return to the series.
Just outside the first ten, Kanato Le (ART Grand Prix) edged out Michael Belov (CL Motorsport) and Akshay Bohra (R-ace GP). Nandhavud Bhirombhakdi (Trident) placed 14th, while RPM’s Santiago Ramos rounded out the top 15.
The action resumes tomorrow with the first qualifying session scheduled at 11:25 CEST, broadcast live on the championship’s official YouTube channel.
