Jin Nakamura Claims Pirelli Rising Car Award at the Red Bull Ring

Jin Nakamura delivered a stunning performance at the Red Bull Ring to secure the seventh Pirelli Rising Car Award of the 2025 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine season. The R-ace GP driver earned the recognition following an impressive charge through the field in Race 1, where he climbed from P28 on the grid to finish eighth, scoring valuable points after gaining 20 positions.

The Japanese driver continued his strong weekend in Race 2, converting a fourth-place starting position into a third-place finish to step onto the podium for the first time in FRECA. With a total of 21 advancement points across the two races, Nakamura firmly established himself as one of the standout performers of the weekend in Spielberg.

Thanks to this result, Nakamura has made a significant leap in the overall Rising Car Award standings. The current leaderboard sees Edouard Borgna on top with 43 points, followed by Taito Kato (40), Dion Gowda (34), Jin Nakamura (33), and Kanato Le (32), setting up a thrilling battle as the season progresses.

The Pirelli Rising Car Award celebrates the drivers who demonstrate exceptional overtaking ability and strategic racecraft throughout a weekend, rewarding their determination and resilience.
