The paddock of Spa-Francorchamps played host to the second presentation of the season for the Pirelli Rising Car Award, the accolade dedicated to celebrating the most impressive charges through the field across a race weekend. The award reflects core values such as determination, resilience, and the fighting spirit required to stand out in a fiercely competitive international series like the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine.
For Round 2 of the 2025 season, the trophy was awarded to Evan Giltaire of ART Grand Prix. The French driver delivered a remarkable performance on Belgian soil, particularly in Race 2, where he powered through the field from P28 on the grid to finish in P13—gaining an impressive 15 positions and scoring valuable points. Combined with the single point earned in Race 1, where he moved up one spot from P5 to P4, Giltaire amassed a total of 16 advancement points over the weekend.
With this result, Giltaire not only claimed the Spa-Francorchamps edition of the Rising Car Award, but he also surged to the top of the overall standings of the season-long trophy. He now sits tied with Saintéloc Racing’s Nikita Bedrin on 18 points, but leads the table by virtue of having secured more first-place finishes.

The Rising Car Award will continue to be assigned after each round of the championship, rewarding drivers who exhibit exceptional overtaking ability and strategic racecraft. At the season finale in Monza, the overall leader will be crowned the Rising Car Champion and presented with the prestigious Pirelli Wheel, a unique trophy symbolizing consistency and progress throughout the year.
