Ivan Domingues secures a spot in the Pirelli Trophy standings with Mugello win

Ivan Domingues, a driver for Van Amersfoort Racing, made a significant impact at Mugello by earning the prestigious Racelience Award and securing his first victory in the rookie standings this year. Domingues demonstrated exceptional skill by climbing three positions in Race 1 and an impressive nine positions in Race 2, which allowed him to put his name on the fifth trophy awarded this year. At the top of the Pirelli standings, Giovanni Maschio holds the lead with 45 points, followed closely by Marta Garcia with 40 points, Nicola Lacorte with 37 points, Ruiqi Liu with 36 points, and Jesse Carrasquedo with 31 points. The competition remains intense as drivers continue to showcase their talents and strive for excellence in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine.

The Racelience Award, created by Pirelli, recognizes drivers who exhibit exceptional resilience and improvement during races. Points are awarded based on the difference between a driver’s starting grid position and their finishing position, rewarding those who advance the most. This award highlights the drivers’ determination and ability to overcome challenges on the track. At the end of the season, the driver with the highest score will receive the prestigious Pirelli Wheel, celebrating their remarkable achievements and perseverance.
