The Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine resumed track activity this morning at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli for the final day of the second official Pre-Season Collective Test.
In perfect weather conditions, drivers were able to fully exploit the four-hour session to focus on performance runs and finalise setup work. With a dry and consistent track surface throughout the morning, lap times steadily improved as the field made the most of every minute on track.
Topping the timesheets was Jin Nakamura (R-ace GP), who recorded the fastest lap of the session in 1:28.748, continuing his strong form from Thursday. The Japanese driver led a closely matched group, with Matteo De Palo (Trident) just 0.127s behind in second place, and Jack Beeton (Prema Racing) close behind in third.
Hiyu Yamakoshi (VAR) secured fourth place, followed by Ruiqi Liu (Trident) and Akshay Bohra (R-ace GP), who were separated by only two thousandths of a second. Evan Giltaire (ART Grand Prix), Dion Gowda (VAR), Freddie Slater (Prema Racing), and Taito Kato (ART Grand Prix) rounded out the top ten in a highly competitive session, with 17 drivers covered by less than half a second.
Track action resumes this afternoon for the final session of the test, scheduled from 14:00 to 18:00.
