The first session of collective tests at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza was held this morning with a wet track, after the rain of the night and the first part of the day. French driver Sami Meguetounif, racing for MP Motorsport, set the fastest lap of the session with a time of 1’53.036. Very close to his best time were Roman Bilinksi, the Polish driver from Trident, with a mere 0.049-second gap, and his MP Motorsport teammate, Victor Bernier, with a 0.063-second gap. The time gaps then started to increase, with the fourth-fastest time recorded by Mexican RMP driver Santiago Ramos, who had a gap of 0.653, followed by Paraguayan Arden Motorsport driver Joshua Duerksen at 0.684. Closing out the first collective test of the weekend in sixth place was Macéo Capietto, a French driver for RPM, with a gap of 1.609, followed on the stopwatch by Arden’s British driver, Tom Lebbon, at 1.130. The wet track presented various challenges during the session, which also required a brief interruption with the display of the red flag.
