In QP2, valid for Race 1 starting later today at 19.25 local time, it is Michael Belov to obtain pole position with 2:15.760, the first one for G4 Racing, followed by the Rookie Isack Hadjar (2:16.216), his teammate Hadrien David (R-ace GP – 2:16.262), and Dino Beganovic (Prema Powerteam – 2:16.471), gaining an excellent final fourth position.
A totally unexpected result for the championship leader Grégoire Saucy (ART Grand Prix), obtaining only the 24th position after he had been the fastest this morning on a wet track, and constantly first and second on dry track during the collective tests.
“I am of course very happy for this pole position. The slipstream is important on this track, but my best lap I have obtained without, as sometimes it is also good to have clean air for the balance of the car. In Race 1 from pole my aim is to win, as if I am the fastest with the pole I need to be the fastest also in the race”, comments Michale Belov after QP2.
