Victor Bernier sets the pace on Friday at Barcelona

Victor Bernier lit up the timesheets with the fastest time across both collective test sessions at Barcelona. FA Racing‘s standard bearer showed that he has an “extra gear” this afternoon in which he set the best time of the day 1m41.097s.

In the second session the Frenchman was just more than three tenths ahead of the other rookie Leonardo Fornaroli (Trident Motorsport), who preceded the two Dutch drivers Dilano Van’t Hoff (MP Motorsport) and Kas Haverkort (Van Amersfoort Racing), third and fourth respectively as time expired. 

There was good results for Paul Aron (Prema Racing), who was 0.598s further back in fifth, and 0.060s ahead of Red bull Ring Race 2 winner Hadrien David (R-ace GP), who finished the session ahead of his teammate Gabriel Bortoleto who was seventh fastest.

ART Grand Prix’s Gabriele Minì was 0.020s further back in eighth, while Pierre-Louis Chovet (RPM) and Laurens Van Hoepen (ART Grand Prix) completed the top-10. 

The first Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine qualifying session of the weekend will go green at 09.00am tomorrow ahead of a 13.05pm start for the 17th race of the season.
