FRECA – Saintéloc Racing moves to the next level

(Saintéloc Racing press office release)

After its debut in F4, the French team will tackle the F3 level in 2023, with a full programme in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine. Emerson Fittipaldi Jr is the first driver confirmed by the Saint-Etienne-based structure. The roadmap is respected. With a view to diversifying its competition programs, Saintéloc Racing started its arrival in single-seaters last year. Initially, via a partial programme in F4 Spain, then with, this winter, a presence in F4 UAE, with more than encouraging results for its debut. 2023 will mark the step to the F3 level for Sébastien Chetail‘s structure from Saint-Etienne with a full-season involvment in the very competitive Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA).

This is the logical next move for the troops led by Morgan Caron, who will aim to learn the subtleties of the FIA-certified series, as they did in F4 in 2022, before targeting higher later on.

Saintéloc Racing had taken over the assets of the Spanish FA Racing team at the end of 2022, before submitting an application to enter FRECA. In order to tackle this new stage in the history of the team, the team has already confirmed the presence of a first driver.

Although he will be discovering FRECA as a Saintéloc Racing driver, Emerson Fittipaldi Jr. will be able to make use of his experience acquired in F4 after two seasons spent between the Danish, German and Italian championships. The son of the two-time Brazilian F1 world Champion has already been able to test the Tatuus T318 with our team during winter testing at Paul Ricard and has convinced Saintéloc Racing to put its trust in him for 2023.

Emerson Fittipaldi Jr:

“I am very excited to be starting my first season in FRECA, with a new team, new hopes … I will be learning a lot this year, the team is working very hard for the season.”

The other drivers completing the Saintéloc Racing line-up will be announced in the coming days.
