Gabriele Minì gets his third pole position of the season at Paul Ricard

Gabriele Minì claimed pole position for the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine at Paul Ricard. At the wheel of the ART Grand Prix car, the Italian driver emerged as the fastest in the second qualifying of the weekend, posting a best lap of 1m58.522s that no one was able to match.

The morning session started with Group B on the track, where Gabriel Bortoleto (R-ace GP) scored the fastest time with a lap of 1m58.980s, a result that secured the front row for the Brazilian, just two tenths ahead Kas Haverkort (Van Amersfoort Racing), who will start from the second row near the championship leader Dino Beganovic (Prema Racing). 

Race 1 winner Paul Aron (Prema Racing) was fifth just 0.059s ahead of Michael Belov (MP Motorsport) who will start from seventh behind Lorenzo Fluxa (R-ace GP).

Hadrien David (R-ace GP) was eighth ahead of the first rookie Tim Tramnitz (Trident Motorsport) and Mari Boya (ART Grand Prix) who completed the top 10.

Eduardo Barrichello (Arden Motorsport) fended off competition from Sebastian Montoya (Prema Racing) by a little over than a tenth in 11th and 13th, with Trident Motorsport’s Roman Bilinski taking 12th.
