German driver Tim Tramintz joins R-ace GP in the 2023 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine

R-ace GP, French Team led by Thibaut de Merindol, announces the first driver of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine line-up for season 2023. Bearing R-ace GP during the season will be Tim Tramintz. Tramintz, German driver born in 2004, is entering his second year in the Alpine and ACI Sport’s single-seater series, after having debuted last year with Trident. Before that moment, the 18-year-old driver conducted a brilliant career in F4, competing in the most competitive fields such as the Italian F.4 Championship and ADAC F.4. During his first year in Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine he was a whisker away from conquering his first podium at Hungaroring when he finished race 2 in P4.

Tim Tramnitz:

R-ace GP has shown really good results over the last years and has a lot of experience in FRECA. I also felt very good within the Team during the winter testing!

I‘m really looking forward to show good performances and results! Beside I’m really happy to drive in Hockenheim this year! Its really nice to have a race in Germany and Hockenheim is one of my favorite tracks!”

Thibaut de Merindol – R-ace GP’s Team Principal:

“I have been in contact with Tim and his surroundings and follow his performances since his first year in F4 in 2020, year he won the rookie title. During winter tests of 2021, Tim convinced us with his sportsmanship but also how he adapted quickly to the team.

Unfortunately, we have not succeeded in bringing together the conditions to make him drive in 2022, so we are pleased to count him among us this season. We are very much looking forward this season with him since all the tests in 2021 and 2022 were very conclusive.

We aim to fight for victories and for the title.”
