Paul Aron sets the pace at Paul Ricard Collective Tests

Paul Aron lit up the timesheets with the fastest time across both collective test sessions at Le Castellet. The Prema Racing driver clocked a best lap of 1m59.325s this afternoon with a dry track, whilst in the morning he led the field even in the rain.

The Estonian was just under three tenths ahead of MP Motorsport’s Michael Belov, who scored a second place on the French circuit last year, with ART Grand Prix’s Gabriele Minì in third after leading the group in the first part of the session.  

There was good results for Pietro Delli Guanti (RPM), who was just 0.147s further back in fourth, and 0.071s ahead of Monaco Race 1 winner Hadrien David (R-ace GP), who finished the session ahead of Mari Boya (ART Grand Prix) who was once again sixth fastest.

G4 Racing’s Matias Zagazeta was 0.042s further back in seventh. Gabriel Bortoleto (R-ace GP), Dino Beganovic (Prema Racing) and Eduardo Barrichello (Arden Motorsport) completed the top-10, which was covered by less than seven tenths of a second. 

The first Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine qualifying session of the weekend will go green at 09.45am tomorrow ahead of a 15.15pm start for the seventh race of the season.
