Paul Aron tops first Collective Test at Paul Ricard

Paul Aron (Prema Racing) made the best of challenging conditions at Paul Ricard by topping the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine Collective Test 1 at the Le Castellet venue.

Estonian driver topped the times (2m22.562s) in the last part of the session and put him only 0.042s clear of Van Amersfoort Racing’s Levente Revesz, who set his best time near the checkered flag, with a fantastic lap good enough for second. Fellow other Prema Racing driver Dino Beganovic also impressed with the third fastest time ahead the rookie Maceo Capietto, next up in fourth for Monolite Racing, and 0.180s further back. 

RPM’s Pietro Delli Guanti was fifth, 0.196s ahead from Mari Boya (ART Grand Prix), which had topped the times in the first part of the session.

KIC Motorsport’s Santiago Ramos was next up in seventh and 0.257s ahead of Prema Racing’s Sebastian Montoya, with the Mexican Noel Leon (Arden Motorsport) and Frenchman Sami Meguetounif (MP Motorsport) rounded out the top-ten.

The second session will take place this afternoon at 16.00 local time.
