It was a rainy afternoon today at the Red Bull Ring where the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine drivers hit the track for the last collective test of the weekend.
Gabriele Minì set the fastest lap of 1:38.962 at the wheel of an ART Grand Prix car. The Italian driver set the pace in the final part of the session, ahead of his teammate Esteban Masson who was just 0.643s further back in second, and 0.728s ahead of Noel Leon (Arden Motorsport). Tim Tramnitz (Trident Motorsport) was fourth fastest (1:39.715), followed by the Arden Motorsport car of Joshua Durksen (1:39.775) and Prema Racing’s Sebastian Montoya.
Good result also for Sami Meguetounif (MP Motorsport), who after his first podium in the series scored in Spa Francorchamps, today finished seventh. Positions eight to ten were filled by Gabriel Bortoleto (R-ace GP) 1:39.843, Mari Boya (MP Motorsport) 1:39.886, and Joshua Dufek (Van Amersfoort Racing) 1:39.907.
The first qualifying of the weekend is set for 9.50am tomorrow ahead of a 01.45pm start for the championship’s fifteenth race.
