(Trident Motorsport Press Release)
Coming from the impressive growth shown throughout 2022, which resulted in a fifth place in the Team Championship and the Rookie Title with Leonardo Fornaroli, the team, led by Maurizio Salvadori, is undergoing final preparations ahead of its second FRECA campaign, which will once again feature a three-car line-up. Bilinski, a 18-year-old British driver of Polish origins, played a key role in terms of development during the team’s first season in the championship in 2022, and will stay on board for 2023.
Bilinski achieved Trident’s maiden overall podium finish in the series last season at Budapest, with a third place that also secured his second rookie win after the one in Le Castellet. Bilinski ended the championship in 18th place overall and was 8th among rookies thanks to the 17 points accumulated throughout the year.
Maurizio Salvadori, Team Owner, Trident:
“We are delighted to continue working with Roman into the upcoming Formula Regional European championship by Alpine season. After completing our first year in the series, it was key for us to provide some continuity to the project by retaining one of the drivers that already raced with Trident in 2022. As a rookie, Roman showed great talent and potential. He also integrated with the team and its work methods extremely well. To continue the partnership felt like a natural choice to us.”
“I’m really excited to be staying with Trident for another season. It was a big challenge last year, being both of our first years in the championship, but now it’s time to put everything we learned together and really push this season.”
