Spa Francorchamps – Collective tests 1: Belov, Saucy and David

Experience (he has raced in Spa-Francorchamps with F3) and great drive see Michael Belov (G4 Racing) lead the first collective tests session. Behind him Grégoire Saucy (ART Grand Prix), Hadrien David (R-ace GP) and Franco Colapinto (MP Motorsport).  A red flag at the end of the session has been required due to Alexandre Bardinon (FA Racing) going off track.

“I am positive, even though the session was strange and we somehow were on track when there was too much traffic, or when other drivers were slowing down or warming up the new tyres. Finally, though, I managed to set a good lap time, even though there is still much to improve, both on the setup and the driving, as I made some mistakes in the fast lap”, has commented Belov at the end of the session.

“It is not qualifying, so there is margin, but what is important is the work is good and the direction the right one, so I am confident we are doing the right things”, comments the championship leader Saucy.

“It is much better than Zandvoort and compared to Wednesday, so this is good. I have very good sector times, but must improve my driving in sector 2. We are back in the first positions, so I am positive”, comments David.

“We are ok with the session, but need to work more. Anyway, my best lap was good, so let’s see how the second session goes”, is the comment from Colapinto.
