Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine descended on the Spaniard venue for two day testing prior to the first race meeting set in Imola on the weekend of April 21-23, which will be anticipated by two more official tests scheduled at Paul Ricard and Monza.
At Barcelona the fastest recorded time came from R-ace GP’s Tim Tramnitz, with an effort of 1m35.613s set today during the morning session, which allowed him to take the lead in the combined standings of the second day of testing.
The German driver was the fastest ahead of Maceo Capietto (RPM) who reported a gap of just 0.072s. Trident Motorsport’s Roman Bilinski was third fastest while Kas Haverkort (Van Amersfoort Racing) and Sami Meguetounif (MP Motorsport) have completed the top 5.
Andrea Kimi Antonelli led Prema Racing’s charge in sixth ahead of Santiago Ramos (RPM), Alessandro Giusti (G4 Racing), Joshua Dufek (Van Amersfoort Racing) and Owen Tangavelou (Trident Motorsport) completing the top 10.
The field will be back in action at Circuit Paul Ricard next week (21-22 March) for two more test days.
