Michael Belov (G4 Racing) is the winner of Race 2 on the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia. The Russian driver from pole position does everything perfectly showing speed and experience. At the start, he is fast and Franco Colapinto (MP Motorsport) from P2 cannot do anything to conquer the lead and will finally end second, even though at certain points the Argentinian was able to get close to Belov. Third is Grègoire Saucy (ART Grand Prix), who holds his P3 on the grid to the end of the race, gaining additional points that get him incredibly close to the championship title. Fourth is a very good Isack Hadjar (R-ace GP), the Red Bull Junior Team driver is back in the first positions after some time, and he is also first of the Rookies. Great fifth for David Vidales, who manages to gain two positions from the start and in this racing weekend in Valencia has definitely been the fastest of the Prema Powerteam drivers. Sixth is Hadrien David (R-ace GP), always in the top ten, but not fast enough to scare Saucy for the championship title. Seventh is Zane Maloney (R-ace GP), eighth Mari Boya (Van Amersfoort Racing) and ninth Gabriel Bortoleto (FA Racing), a little bit in difficulty in the race pace compared to qualifying. The tenth is Gabriele Minì (ART Grand Prix), back in the points.
“I think I have done everything perfect, also the start and the restart have been good, so I am very pleased and thank the team for a great job. I have raced in Mugello in F4 and I really like the track, even though I had some technical problems at the time”. comments the winner Belov.
“I am happy of the second position, even though of course I would have loved to take another win. On this track there was not much I could do, and I thank the team for a great job”, comments Colapinto, definitely the driver who has obtained the best results here in Valencia.
“I am positive about the additional points which are very important for the championship. We have fixed the problems at the steering wheel we had yesterday, so today was much better. Mugello is going to be a surprise for me with this car, but I am looking forward to the racing weekend there”, comments the championship leader, Saucy.
“It has been a very very tough race, and I am physically very tired, but it is a good position. The race was hard, but a little boring as it is so difficult to overtake. Still, I like the track. I do not know Mugello track, but it looks amazing, and I am sure we will have great fun there”, said the first of the Rookies and fourth overall Hadjar.
